Cabrera, Pedro a Spanish theologian, brother of Alfonso, was a priest of the order of St. Jerome of Cordova in the 17th century. He first taught philosophy and afterwards theology, at Cordova and elsewhere. He wrote a Commentary on the Summa of St. Thomas (Cordova, 1602,2 vols. 8vo). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.

John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
