1. Deputy of Thrace under Julian, who put St. AEmilian to death.
2. Martyr in Nicomedia with bishop Quintilian, celebrated March 8.
3. Martyr in Antioch with Zenobius, Emerita, Italica, Jovian, and Julian, commemorated Aug. 24.
4. Martyr at Rome with Eulalia, commemorated Dec. 11.

John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
