Dailey David, a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Gloucester County, N. J., March 1, 1792, was converted in 1805, entered the itinerancy in 1812, became superannuated in 1855, and died May 4, 1856. For more than, forty years he was a useful minister and presiding elder, and was especially" proficient in the theology of the plan of salvation." John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
