Greenham, Richard an English Puritan divine, was born in 1531, and was educated at Pembroke Hall, Cambridge. He was for many years pastor of Drayton, near Cambridge, where he died in 1591. He published a number of sermons, treatises, etc., which, after his death, were collected and published under the title The Works of the Reverend Richard Greenham, revised and published by H.H. John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
