It was probably not till after this that Moses performed the acts of worship mentioned in the course of the narrative—put water in the laver ( Exodus 40:30 ), offered sacrifice ( Exodus 40:29 ), lighted the lamps ( Exodus 40:25 ), and burnt incense on the golden altar ( Exodus 40:26 ).
