Pastor Chad preaches from 2 Peter 1:1-11 and explains 3 ways we can do our best for Jesus:
1. Applying all vigilance,
2. Applying all diligence, and
3. Applying all exuberance in our faith.

This section of Scripture concludes with a command (let these virtues of Christ be increasing: moral excellence, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love) so that you are verified (certain/confident) of His calling and choosing of you. The passage contains great promises (participation in the divine nature/attributes/virtues, escape from the corruption/lusts of the world, and entrance into Jesus' eternal Kingdom) and a great warning (not to be blind, unproductive, or stumbling in your faith).

You can check/verify your salvation (2 Corinthians 13:5) by asking yourself:
Have I repented of my sins? (Willingness to turn from your sins by asking God to forgive all your acts/times of rebellion against Him and His Word - Mark 1:15, Acts 2:38, 17:30, 20:21, 26:20, Hebrews 6:1-2)
Do I have real faith? (believing and trusting in Jesus as the Son of God to give you righteous standing, total forgiveness, and eternal life through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection - Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 1:17, 3:22, 9:30)
Have I publicly confessed/asked Jesus to be my personal Lord? (Romans 10:9-13)
Does my life demonstrate an overwhelming evidence that the Holy Spirit now indwells me as proof that I belong to God as a follower/slave of Jesus by a growing OBEDIENCE to the Lord's commands in Scripture? (1 John 2:3-6)
