In this video we will look at the entire context of Ecclesiastes 9:5 in light of verse 6 to understand that the dead knowing nothing is in relation to the earth (anything done under the sun). Other Scriptures will be examined that help us to see this concept in a better light. When we die, our bodies go to the grave that is likened unto a sleep, but our spirits go to be with the Lord where we have no awareness of what is going on under the sun (on the earth). This is how the dead know not anything. Ecclesiastes 9:5 does not teach the doctrine of soul sleep when we consider the whole counsel of God.
