Each of us has a calling before God, which is realized and fulfilled in Christ. Like Isaiah, our callings may involve work and outcomes we do not seek. Christ calls us to walk, as it were, through fire. Although we may not have signed up for the tough times, Christ calls us to faithfully follow Him in and through them.
