Nehemiah was very instrumental in the return of the Jews to Jerusalem and the reestablishment of Israel. His first task was to rebuild the city of Jerusalem by beginning with the walls of the city. Nehemiah had people that tried to hinder the rebuilding by attacking him, and when we join the Lord’s team we too will be hindered by attacks of the enemy just as Jesus was taunted to come down from the cross.

After Israel circled Jericho 6 days the 7th day they made 7 laps according to the commandment of God and the walls of Jericho fell down. The practical application is for the sinner or Christian to tear down their walls of disbelief and receive what the Lord has prepared.
