Daily Devo #237 (week #58): "Government Corruption" #Ecclesiastes 5:8-9

We've been digging verse by verse into the book of Ecclesiastes, which really asks the question... "Is THIS All There Is To Life?"

Solomon has listed many problems... he brings one up in our passage today, 5:8-9, that many of us can relate to, more in some countries than others, and I feel this country, as proud as I am to be an American, and as great as I think this country is, the corruption seems to have gotten too deep... on both/all sides of the aisle.

One can work and work and work, save and save, and have much fruit from one's labor. That's really what America was founded on, the freedom to do so without heavy handed tyranical government. But wow can the fruit of one's work disappears as the result of taxes and even unfair oppression by political rulers!
