When I was Student Missionary from Newbold College (Binfield, Berkshire U.K.) (1974-5) I was asked to go to Port Harcourt (the capital and largest city of Rivers State, Nigeria). I stayed with an African family who well understood the weakness of a European. They purchased a large water filter system for they knew I might otherwise get sick. Had not such provisions been made then the Apostle Paul's advice to Timothy would have come in handy.
Whoever listens to this clip must have their ears open. Dr Jennings is not advocating for Alcoholic beverages. Any consumption would be not for pleasure (recreation), but for medicinal purposes, not to get inebriated but to prevent Gastroenteritis (A condition characterized by irritation and inflammation of the stomach and intestines. This causes diarrhoea, vomiting and nausea).
