Jesus who is God the Son, is the Giver of all life; all things came into existence because He created the world (John 1:3).

In the world darkened by sin, where people do not know their Creator God and are separated from Him because of sin, Jesus came and brought the Light of salvation into this world.

John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Jesus lived a sinless life, bore the sins of the world on His own body, shed His sinless blood and therefore gave up His life in their place; He died on the cross for the sins of mankind as their Perfect Substitute, drinking the whole cup of God’s wrath against sin. He resurrected the third day, showing that God the Father accepted His sacrifice for us (Romans 4:25). He paid the price of sin IN FULL, leaving nothing for us to pay and redeeming us from eternal death and suffering in the lake of fire.

Jesus reconciled sinful men to God - all who depend on His all-sufficient atonement for them on the cross have all their sin cleansed by His sinless blood and they are forgiven and justified before the thrice Holy God.

2 Corinthians 5:18 “...God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ...”

Let us remember and thank God for His salvation this Christmas! Do not forget how Christ laid aside His glory in heaven and condescended into this filthy world to die for unworthy sinners like you and me. May we spread the gospel so that others may believe in Jesus and no longer be blinded by sin and Satan (2Corinthians 4:4).
