John’s purpose in John 6:22-59 was to record Jesus’ Bread of Life Discourse. In the first part of the discourse, vs.22-40, we see the setting and context of the teaching and we see not only the spiritual state of the unbeliever, but we also see the certainty of salvation for the elect of God. That is, those chosen by the Father will come to faith in Jesus and be saved and raised by Him. In vs.41-51 we see that no one can come to faith in Jesus without the work of the Father, but everyone whom the Father draws will come. In vs.52-59 we see both the means and mode of eternal life. That is, Christ gave His body and blood as the sacrifice for eternal life which must be received by faith. In vs.60-71 we see the fallout reactions of those who were hearing the Bread of Life Discourse. In this section we come to understand that not all who follow Jesus believe, but those who do were chosen.

I'm a Minister, Evangelist, and Apologist of the Word of God and the Gospel of our Lord God Jesus Christ. I am an ex-mystic, occultist, and practitioner of witchcraft. I was into the occult for 16 years. My Lord Jesus Christ saved me by His shed blood, and now I work at exposing the Occult.
Now by the grace of God I preach Salvation by Grace through Faith alone, not of works (James 2 is not for salvation). Also, I preach once saved always saved, you cannot lose your salvation (Ephesians 4:30), otherwise again your belief would be then about works and maintenance of salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9/Titus 3:5/Galatians 2:16) and that is against the Word of God (Galatians 1:8-9)

We believe there is a beautiful story that resonates in our hearts and it is so compelling you don't have to look hard to find it.

Consider the entertainment industry which banks on the fact we are drawn to stories that begin in harmony, transition to conflict, and end in glorious restoration. Additionally, there is always a villain who destroys harmony and a hero who restores it. This is how we are taught to write stories. It seems we are irresistibly drawn to this model.

Now consider for a moment the possibility that Christianity is not a set of rules or philosophy on how to live, but it is rather a faith that explains why this story has been printed on our hearts. The Bible, the revelation of this story, is not just good advice, but good news. Christianity is simply having faith in that which we have already found to be true in our hearts: we are participants of a grander story in which the author has revealed Himself to us and pursues us!
