Remember, an angelic being is explaining to Daniel numerous future events. He has explained hundreds of years of tension between Egypt in the south and Syria in the north. And before we read the following text, you must remember that Daniel's childhood home was Israel. His home was sandwiched between these two warring nations. So I would assume as all this was being explained to him, all he could think about was his childhood home — Israel. 
 
And then the angel tells him this: 
 
"In those times many shall rise against the king of the south, and the violent among your own people shall lift themselves up in order to fulfill the vision, but they shall fail. — Daniel 11:14 
 
So this is important because what this angel is prophesying is that followers of God are going to read this text. And because they were privy to the prophecy, they would insert themselves into the story. I would assume they grew weary of the warring and the waiting. Therefore they mounted an army that sought justice. Thus they justified their actions with violence by reading themselves into the text as those would save and reestablish the nation. 
 
I think this text is so important for followers of Christ right now. It's a warning about many things. First, it's a warning about inserting ourselves into a prophecy we are privy to. This is the danger of all prophecy in the Bible — that God-fearing people who are given it know just enough of it to claim we understand all of it, thus elevating ourselves. Don't do this. You don't know it all. Do you know how I know you don't know it all? Jesus said he didn't know it all. In Mark 13:32, Jesus said, "But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." So if he doesn't know it all, then you don't, so don't claim to know it all. Second, this text is a warning about justifying counteractions and violence under the claim of a vision given by God. I want you to know I am always weary of any man who claims God has given them a vision. But I am especially suspicious of the man who claims God gave him a vision and then justifies his actions based on that vision alone. Justification is a dangerous business. And you know how I know this? Because the Bible states there is only one who justifies. Roman 8:33 states, "God is the one who justifies." So when we justify counteractions or violence in an uprising against nations or governments, we might want to check our motives because we might be moving against God, which is what these God-fearing people did here and failed. Third, this text is also a reminder that God is the Author of the story. He's writing it, and he knows how it ends. And we need to trust him. I know so many of us right now don't like how things are playing out. And I am with you. I'm not too fond of it all, either. But we don't get to write the story. Daniel didn't get to write it, either. He just wrote down the story God told him because God's the Author. That's because it's his story. He's telling it, and we need to trust him. 
 
ASK THIS: How are you convicted today? 
 
DO THIS: Trust the Author; it's his story, not yours. 
 
PRAY THIS: God, I trust you, the Author of all life, including mine. You are writing my story, and I am good with that!

 This is an in-depth study on the Amazing Book of Daniel Chapter 11:5-Dan. 11:10 which includes major world events from 1951-1981, after the Jews settled back to their land in 1948. Out of all the chapters in the Bible, there is no other chapter more astonishing and captivating than the Book of Daniel Chapter 11. In studying eschatology, there has never been another chapter that has left me in awe on how precise Daniel 11 seems to predict major world events that some of us have lived through, witnessed, and remember. Back in 2005, I was so intrigued with Daniel Chapter 11 that I started write this a verse by verse commentary and it resulted in a Book that I keep for personal reference. Some might say that these prophecies in Daniel 11 are obsolete, but Daniel 8: 17, 19, 23, & Dan. 10:14 state that these visions and prophecies are for the latter days. Compare Daniel 11:31 to Mat. 24:15. interestingly, this Chapter will let you understand how Terrorism was created and how it will help pave the way of the Ant-Christ. Furthermore this chapter will also help you understand how the Kenites aka the Illuminati worked behind the scenes to bring about chaos, regime change, and terrorism. 
 That being said, let us get in God’s word starting with Daniel 11:5. Remember, we will be inserting supposition by using major events that have changed the world that transpired in the Middle East since the year of our Lord 1948. 
We will discuss how the U.S. involvement in the Middle East paved the way for these major world events to transpire.

Daniel 11:9 The Ayatollah Khomeini (The King of the South) Returns to Iran After being in Exile. 
 
Dan. 11:9 "So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.” 
 
Years before the commencing of the Iranian revolution, Ruhollah Khomeini was highly respected as a scholar, teacher, and author of many writings based on Islamic philosophy, laws and ethics. Initially, Khomeini’s popularity arose by his outspoken denunciations of The Shah’s pro-western influences, anti-American sentiment, and unwavering uncompromising support of Islamic fundamentalism. Because of his strict Islamic doctrine, in the 1960’s, Khomeini earned the title of “Grand Ayatollah” or supreme religious leader of the Shiite community in Iran. Passionately, Khomeini preached against The Shah’s reforms for reducing religious estates and supporting women rights. Because the Shah suppressed any dissent to his government, Khomeini was arrested. One year after his captivity, Khomeini was forced into exile on November 4, 1964 to settle in Iraq. From there, Khomeini continued his influence and call for regime change in Iran and the formation of an Islamic Republic in Iran that resulted in strong advocacy and popularity from the Shiite Muslim world. Iraq’s leader, Saddam Hussein (a Sunni Muslim) forced Khomeini to leave Iraq on October 6, 1978. Thus, Khomeini settled in Paris living in exile until his welcoming triumphal return to Iran on Feb. 1, 1979 after the departure of The Shah. Khomeini was then declared religious and political leader of Iran and introduced a new constitution based on Islamic law and established an Islamic Republic in Iran. After more than 14 years of living in exile, The King of the South returned to his land.
