We live in an age where western-style culture has permeated our thinking of what is normal for a Christian. The philosophy of our age is in thinking "What is in it for me?" God's message is not that at all, and any ministry that projects such thinking is adding to the superficial type experience some professing Christians find themselves.
5. The MUST of the SPIRIT-CONTROLLED LIFE
WALKING IN THE SPIRIT is essential for victory over the works of the flesh. Galatians 5:16-18, 22-25 makes it clear that there cannot be a pattern of continuous personal spiritual victory without the constant power of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life. The tragedy is for so many who seek to be pleasing to God in the energy of the flesh, and wonder why it never becomes a reality.
God's message must be centered around the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Otherwise we become as "do-it-yourself" Christians in the energy of the flesh. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to lead us into ALL TRUTH, and apart from Him there cannot be a proper relationship to God's Truth. John 16:13.
