Physical aids in ministry are well known. Well equipped churches, special education, libraries, and scientific tools are useful. Our total surrender to the will of God, and his challenge, take first place. Be willing to be used. "Whosoever wants to save his own life will lose it. But whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. Luke 9:24. Faithfulness is our goal. Be involved. The Bible is God's Book of Promises. Know it and apply it. A tendency may be to use our best human effort, then tack on the promises only if we think we need them. This is the road to defeat. The indwelling working presence of the Holy Spirit is important. The disciples were scattered and halting until Acts 2 with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Then came energy and thrust for godly living, and miraculous Church growth. His power for all of us in evangelism and renewal comes alone through the power of the Spirit. Let Him control and use our whole lives. "It is God Who worketh in you…" Phillipians 2:13. On our own we are utterly incapable, "Without Me ye can do nothing." John 15:5. In ours elves we try and fail, yet we can be tools in His hands. Let us become dissatisfied with ourselves, but satisfied with Jesus. Even our human failngs may honor Him. They show our insufficiency, and bring us to our knees. This new awakening brings conviction that we must do God's work by God's power. Come confessing our sin and self effort. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. " I John 1:9. Let God have all the glory doing it all His way.
