What Does Revival Do?

1. MAKE THE GOSPEL SENSIBLE
Apologetics is superceded by reality. Picture of God is made clear to the world. The "fulfilled law" is made clear.
2. MAKES THE CHRISTIAN LIFE PRACTICAL
Henry Teichrob said: "once I dealt with my sin, I now could go to God for other areas of y life." Psalm 66:18; 16:11. We now apply Christianity to all areas of life, not just doctrine to believe.
3. MAKES DEALING WITH GOD PERSONAL
It starts with God's "best" people Psalm 139:23-24
4. MAKES HOLY LIVING ENVIABLE
The true essence of revival is holy living – God cleansing the church. Ephesians 5:25
5. MAKES HUMAN RELATIONS ENJOYABLE

6. MAKES JESUS CHRIST COMMUNICABLE
Acts 8:4 "went everywhere …" People are now talking who never talked before.
7. MAKES CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE UNDENIABLE
Psychologists would love to see things happen so powerfully to people as when God transforms lives.
8. MAKES PEOPLE APPROACHABLE
Both saved and unsaved are more open to be ministered to than before. Acts 3:19 "times of refreshing" Psalm 110:"3 "thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power."
9. MAKES COMMITMENT TO CHRIST TOTAL
The essence of Luke 9:23-24; 14:26-17 – self –denial, take up the cross, lose your life, etc. becomes very real.
