Charles S. Price

Charles S. Price (1887 - 1947)

Dr. Price was known for his simple preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom. He was know for his analogies which bring to light the understanding of God's Word with clarity, as revealed by the Spirit. Thousands have been transformed and many healed by the Blood of Jesus through the faithfulness of Dr. Price. Rev. Gordon Lindsay wrote: "The ministry of Dr. Charles S. Price is unique in the history of revivals and must be ranked with that of Wesley, Finney, and Moody in its impact upon the church."

Price was not affiliated with a particular denomination and his meetings were often supported by multiple churches within an area. He had a special relationship with the Assembly of God denominational leadership and regularly spoke at their camp meetings and was often invited to speak in their churches. He was a prolific writer. He wrote several books including: And Signs Followed the Life Story of Charles S. Price, The Potter and the Clay, Spiritual and Physical Health, Made Alive, Two Worlds, The Real Faith, You Can Know God Here and Now, Divine Intervention, and Miracles besides producing his Golden Grain Magazine from 1926 to 1947. He used radio extensively and often preached from Los Angeles, California when he was not on the road. He also taught at the Southern California Bible College and was often asked to fill in for pastors in the Los Angeles area. In 1945 he felt that the Lord was calling him to spend time at home. The next two years were focused on writing, preaching locally, and in rest and prayer. He died March 8, 1947.

Charles S. Price on Divine Healing

"When we want to bring light into a room, we do not try to cast the darkness out, but we put light in. It is vain to struggle to get rid of our pains and our sufferings and even our sins and our weaknesses. The only way one can rid himself of the power of the devil is to admit and give authority to ... Read More

Concerning Spiritual Gifts

IT is possible for spirit filled people to be ignorant regarding spiritual gifts. It is even possible for people who have received the gifts of the Holy Ghost to be ignorant regarding the exercise of them in the service of the Christian life. There is a difference between the "gift" of the Spirit an... Read More

God's Exchange

When He said, Occupy until I come!", there is no doubt that He had reference to that external coming which will shake the continents one of these days. But have we limited the scope of its meaning to that event, alone. Once again, the external finds its counterpart in the internal. OCCUPY UNTIL I CO... Read More

How to Keep Your Healing

GOD created the heavens and the earth, in the beginning. He made every-thing. He made the birds with their brilliant plumage. He made the flowers with their fragrant blossoms. He made a perfect world, and happiness reigned. There was no sin, no sickness, no suffering, and no death. It was not until ... Read More

In His Image

We HAVE often looked upon the life of Jesus and, perchance, have viewed it as one having great authority and liberty. This is only partially true. As our look lingers upon that wonderful Person of the Christ, we see that the Son of God was found in the FASHION of a man. He was, in truth, as the orig... Read More

Suddenly! Without warning! Not in an hour that we have planned but in a moment we think not! (Matt. 24:44). Man Can Know God

Can a man know God? That question was asked in the first century and it has been asked in every other. If it is true that we can know Him, then it must follow that a new day will dawn in every life which, having sought the Lord in all sincerity, at last has met Him face to face. If it is really poss... Read More

Money in Heaven

THIS is confessedly the most difficult of all our Lord's parables. It holds up the bad man as an example to good people; teaches that by a prudent use of money they may secure eternal blessings; and says nothing about salvation by faith. The key to the parable is to be found in its relationship to t... Read More

One Freedom

WHEN we see these things we look up and see the Deliverer from our SELF has come! "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer!" (Romans 11:26) The REIGN OF CHRIST will be on and the REIGN OF SELF must EXIT. For there is but "one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Je... Read More

Patience

In the tenth chapter of Hebrews and the thirty-fifth and thirty-sixth verses we read: “Cast not away, therefore, your confidence which has great recompense of reward, for ye have need of patience that after ye have done the will of God ye might receive the promise.” As I have traveled up and down th... Perfection In Christ

“THIS WE also pray for, even your perfection.” (2 Ccr. 13:9) Christian Perfection! What a subject, and what a challenge. Has anyone attained it? Is there, on the face of the broad acres of earth, a solitary soul who can testify that he has arrived at this scriptural goal? Rest assured, the Bible nev... Read More

Prophecy - September 1956

Thou needest to hold thyself in readiness for this day that I have made for thee and for those to whom I have shown it. Revelation or Recitation

God's children everywhere are rejoicing in the unfolding revelation of our Lord. What we receive from God is revelation; what we receive from man is recitation. Now the recitation may be good and true, but it can never take the place of the unfolding of the Divine purposes and will before the indivi... Read More

Satisfied

“As for me, I will behold They face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awaken with Thy likeness.” Psalm 17:15. It is absolutely impossible to satisfy the natural man. That We Might Know Him

IF there is one thing the Bible teaches, without any evasion or ambiguity whatsoever, it is the glorious truth that we can commune directly with God. The Blood why it is precious

It is true that it takes the power of the Holy Ghost to make men see the tremendous spiritual value in the blood of Jesus Christ. Unsaved men cannot understand it.
