The Bible talks a lot about the responsibility of parents to their children. Obviously, if these duties are not followed, it means the parents are doing a bad job. It is worth noting that children are considered in the Bible as heritage from God, and so parents have the responsibility to take care of these blessings.

In Ephesians, fathers were instructed not to provoke their children to anger but nurture them in the admonition of the Lord. The opposite of this command is to provoke their children and fail to teach them about God.

Parents were also commanded to provide sufficient discipline to their kids while growing up. The Bible clearly says that discipline would not lead to the child’s death. However, failure to teach and discipline the child would often result in bad decisions, and a bad path overall when he grows up.
