<h3>Psalm 27</h3><h3>Of David.</h3>27 <poetry>The <smallCap>Lord</smallCap> is my light and my salvation — <indent>whom shall I fear?</indent> The <smallCap>Lord</smallCap> is the stronghold of my life— <indent>of whom shall I be afraid? </indent></poetry> 2 <poetry>When the wicked advance against me <indent>to devour me,</indent> it is my enemies and my foes <indent>who will stumble and fall. </indent> </poetry> 3 <poetry>Though an army besiege me, <indent>my heart will not fear; </indent> though war break out against me, <indent>even then I will be confident. </indent></poetry> 4 <poetry>One thing I ask from the <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>, <indent>this only do I seek:</indent> that I may dwell in the house of the <smallCap>Lord</smallCap> <indent>all the days of my life, </indent> to gaze on the beauty of the <smallCap>Lord</smallCap> <indent>and to seek him in his temple.</indent> </poetry> 5 <poetry>For in the day of trouble <indent>he will keep me safe in his dwelling;</indent> he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent <indent>and set me high upon a rock. </indent></poetry> 6 <poetry>Then my head will be exalted <indent>above the enemies who surround me; </indent> at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; <indent>I will sing and make music to the <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>.</indent></poetry>
