Went over what has been going on over the past few days about our RV---and that fact that we needed to make arrangements to obtain a different one, due to it being defective and needing to be rebuilt. Went through the whole story, mainly for our supporters, as we will need to raise some funds to make up the differences in the trade-in, upgrading our hitch, etc., and all in a matter of weeks since I need to head out in about four weeks for the debates with Jimmy Akin in Louisiana. Then we moved over to the Big Board and looked at Hebrews 1:10-12, and Dale Tuggy's attempt to get away from its testimony to the deity of Christ.

Took two complete programs to do it, but we finished looking at Zach Lambert's sermon on "Homophobia and Transphobia," getting to the part where the Bible finally was referred to: and twisted into a pretzel. It is truly hard to listen to "progressivists" engage in societal eisegesis, but we sure got our fill in today's 1:50 minute long program.

As promised I began playing the entirety of Zach Lambert's sermon, preached early last year, about "Homophobia and Transphobia." He had linked to it as representative of his position, and in the opening of the sermon he says he spent more time preparing for that sermon than any other, so it seems fair to address it.  It is a classic example of "cultural eisegesis," and since it is the essence of modern "Christian" homosexual apologetics, everyone needs to learn to recognize it, and refute it.  We will continue the study and response on Thursday, Lord willing!  1:55 today!

Started off with stories about California and Michigan pressing the woke gender ideology that is a plague upon us all. Then, finally, as promised almost two weeks ago, I got to Leighton Flowers and his “Calvinists cannot answer Colossians 2:12” argument and discovered that in fact it seems it is the Provisionists who have to struggle with that particular text. Next week we are back on the road once again, so prayers for traveling mercies and physical strength and health are most desired and appreciated!

Looked at some claims about Aquinas by Norm Geisler, including a quick look at John 13:19, and then started to respond to the second in the series from Baptist Dogmatics regarding Matthew 24:36.  What is "theological" or "dogmatic" exegesis?  Well, we will find out more as we continue our review and response. Did about 90 minutes today on a variety of topics but with a bit of a connected theme, digging into the text of John 3:13 as well as looking at Turretin's discussion of the two natures of Christ. Finished up looking at the amazing behavior of folks on line in response to a new theological journal.

We have no way of knowing what we will be doing for the next few days program wise, but we snuck one in today, looking closely at the infamous Marian prayer going around the net (one I was addressing in the early 1990s). Then we looked at Scott Swain's comments on divine simplicity and James 1:5.

Only went an hour today but covered a number of topics including some statements by various "progressive" ministers, a passing dismissal of presuppositionalism that said more than its author intended, and finally a quick look at Aquinas on John 10:27-30.

Did half an hour on the state of the US on July 4th, and then spent an hour on John 10:30, systems of theology and speculative philosophy, and how we need to be consistent lest we lose the ability to communicate the truth to future generations.

Since I am in Cedar City, Utah, I started off the program with a discussion of the decline of Mormonism, its reasons, and how we need to be praying to be used of God to bring light to the darkness.  Then I had to dive into some of the amazing things being claimed, asserted, and just plain lied about regarding the rise of this new form of "Reformed Thomistic Scholasticism" in our day.  Responded to Richard Barcellos' accusation that when we submit scholastic terminology and frameworks to biblical analysis and standards we are engaging in "self-poping popery."  Yes, that's a direct quote. Also went back to John 17:5 to see if τῇ δόξῃ ᾗ εἶχον still means "the glory which I had with you" or whether somehow it had become "the glory predestined to be given to my human nature."

We spent today looking at the argument of Dr. Douglas Stauffer in his attempted defense of the King James Bible relating to Titus 2:13, specifically. Of course, we provided a lot of background, dove into the text, even took at look at P72, the earliest papyri manuscript of 2 Peter (another Granville Sharp Construction location). Spent a good portion of time talking about why people "swim the Tiber" in light of Cameron Bertuzzi's stating that he is closer than he has ever been to embracing Rome's claims (though, he says, he is still "far away").  Realized while we were doing the program that this month marks the 30th anniversary of my first public debate which was against Gerry Matatics, then of Catholic Answers, on the subject of sola scriptura in Long Beach, California.  I am, obviously, getting old (I was a ripe old 27 at the time---younger by four years than my youngest child currently).  Anyway, we then looked briefly at a Steven Anderson video on Hosea 11:1 and the Greek LXX, providing more information than Anderson did, and finished up listening to an answer to an audience question Frank Turek provided regarding the subject of Molinism.
