I want us to think in the opening few minutes about the importance of buildings and the things that go on in buildings, and the way that we remember them. How we see and understand the importance or non-importance of church buildings which are used for the worship of Almighty God. 
In this so-called age of “wokeness” even some sections of the institution of the Church are caught up in the tensions regarding how we see and understand the importance or non-importance of church buildings which are used for the worship of Almighty God. 
This morning I want us to look at this passage with the help of four words all beginning with the letter “C”: 
Comparison, 
Celebration, 
Covenant and 
Canon.
