Can you trust God when it does not make sense? Are you willing to let go and let God fight your battles?  Faith and Obedience are like Applie and rhe IPhone, they go together, cannot have one without the other.  In today's lesson let's see how well Joshua and the people of God trust and obey.

Prophet of Conquest   Joshua 5:13-15; 6:1-5, 15-16, 20

No one in the ministry does it alone.  There are always people in the background supporting the teacher, pastor, and leaders.   Today we meet a power couple supporting Paul in his ministry!

Called to Explain   - Act 18: 1-3, 18-21, 24-26 & Romans 16: 3, 4

Women are called to represent God, speak on his behalf, and used in a high order.   These women known and unknown were constantly used by God to speak to his people.

Called to Prophesy  Luk 2:26-38: Acts 2: 16-21, Acts 21:8,9

Jesus is praying for you and me!  That we make be kept safe from the world, from the Evil One, and that we may be sanctified. We are sent into the world to bear the truth of God's word.  We need are the prayer and protection Jesus can give us!

Callled for the Worlds Belief John 17: 14-24

Do you need convincing that Jesus is the Messiah?  Jews in Matthew's day did.  Jewishish Christians in the 1st century were often oppressed and thought about returning to Judaism.  The writer of Hebrews says this is a big mistake.  Jesus is the heir of all things!

Called to be Heir - Matthew 1:1-6, 16, 17 & Hebrews 1:1-5

Has anyone ever interceded for you?  It is a great thing when someone does! In this case, Jonathan saved David from great harm from Saul.  In this lesson, we learn about the character of Jonathan and his affection for David.

Love that Intercedes -  1 Samuel 19:1-7

What is the providence of God?  How does God work in your life?  God is always in control and is sovereign over all!  God even uses the bad things that happen to us for his glory and our good.  This is Providence!

Revealed Love  - Genesis 45: 1-8, 10-15

Guilt is a heavy burden to carry.  In our lesson, we find out that Joseph's brothers have kept a dark secret for 20 years.   They told no one but it is eating at them every single day!   They have adopted the theology of retribution.   We are getting what we deserve.  What we did 20 years ago has come back to haunt us.

Victorious Love  - Genesis 42:6-26

Can you remain faithful in the midst of adversity?  Can you remember who you are in a foreign land?  Can you wait for God to turn things around?   What how much Joseph matured from chapter 37!

Final Obedient Love Genesis 41:25-33, 37-40, 50-52

Was there favoritism in your family?  Did your parents make a difference between you and your siblings?  How was it handled?  Were there hurt feelings, bitterness, insecurity, and pain?   Joseph had favoritism in his family too!

Biased Love Genesis 37: 2-11, 23-24a, 28

How human was Jesus?  What was his childhood like?  Did he cry? Did he play as other children did?  Was he born with all his intellect and wisdom?  Come find our as we learn how Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and favor with God and man.

The Boy Jesus - Eccl. 3:1, 7b; Luke 2:39-52

"Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds. "   You may not always see wisdom at first, but you will always see it in the end.   You will see wisdom by the fruits it produces.   John the Baptist was a wise man, he may have not looked like one or dressed like one, but his deeds tell a different story.  There was no one greater than he.

Vindicating Wisdom - Matthew 11:7-19

Lady Wisdom and Lady Folly both have a feast for you.  Which one will you choose?   Which house will you enter? Who will you put your trust in? They both have different outcomes.  Please make the right choice!

What are the benefits of wisdom?  Why does Solomon describe wisdom like silver and hidden treasure?   We are to seek and search for it....  There is a great reward in the end...  Pleasure to our souls, Joy to our hearts, and God watching over us!

How important is wisdom?  If it is so important, then why is it hard to find?  Today, we will learn what wisdom is,  What it looks like, and where it comes from!

How do you balance justice and love?  What does God do with a people who deserve to be condemned?  Idolatry, Baal worship, temple prostitution,  and oppression are all enemies of God.  God wants to return to him, hold steadfast to love and justice and wait faithfully.
