I pray that each and every one of you had a great week. 
 
Once again God has opened the door & I have had the opportunity to sub each day. It is wonderful & amazing how the kids will ask me spiritual questions. I have been able to answer them because they ask me. 
 
God has also given opportunity to invite folks to Sunday services. Trusting Him for the response. 
 
Our Prophecies of Advent Sermon Series continues with The Blessing Through Jacob. 
 
In Sunday School we will begin our second week in Ezekiel. This week "Saves" from Ezekiel 11:2-4l 14-21. 
 
Don't forget the invitation to join our brothers & sisters at Shiloh Dec 22 at 6 PM for Carols, Candlelight & Communion.

Advent: The Blessing Through Jacob (Genesis 28:14)

I don't know about you but this week seemed over 2 weeks long. It's been good, but very busy & jam packed. God is Good! 
 
Next week will be a transition message, the 21st Thanksgiving & the 28th will begin the advent series. 
 
Can you believe we are at this time of the year already? 
 
Hope to see you today, if not today, then next Sunday with a Bible in hand, a friend by your side and a song of Salvation in your heart

The 3 Circles of Reaching (Application Part 2) : Matthew 10:5-7; Luke 10:1-2

The next time we meet we will be in a new month. August is upon us. 
 
Update: My toe surgery Thursday ended up being more than the Dr. expected, and my toe became an educational moment for the other Dr.s, Nurses and PAs. 
 
Went back today for follow-up and directions for further care at home. 
 
The Dr was pleased with the improvement in less than 24 hours. 
 
Also- be in prayer for teachers & students as school begins. 
 
Please be in prayer for Howell Nelms from Shiloh. He is in ICU at St Mary's in Athens. 
 
Praise - Grace has been offered a position as a pre-k (3 yr olds) at Athens Christian School. Pray for Lee as he is still on the job search in Dahlonega.

The Spiritual Importance of Memorials (Judges 6:20-24)

As we celebrate Mother's Day, today's sermon comes from Mark rather than 1 John. We'll return to the sermon series on 1 John next week. 
 
Today, our hearts and focus turn toward mothers. 
Strength and dignity are her clothing, 
 and she laughs at the time to come. 
She opens her mouth with wisdom, 
 and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 
She looks well to the ways of her household 
 and does not eat the bread of idleness. 
Her children rise up and call her blessed; 
 her husband also, and he praises her: 
“Many women have done excellently, 
 but you surpass them all.” 
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, 
 but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 
Give her of the fruit of her hands, 
 and let her works praise her in the gates. 
Proverbs 31:25-31 
 
Praying God's Blessings upon mothers living and her family and the families where their mother has been called to eternal rest.

The Godly Mother-in-Law (Mark 1:29-31)

Last Sunday was the 1st Sunday of Advent. We've incorporated Scripture Reading and Lighting of Advent Candles during our life worship service. Hopefully the pictures at the beginning of the video, which share the Advent candles, the seasonal arrangement on the Communion Table and some pictures of the Christmas tree will help put you into a mood of joining us for Sunday School at 10 AM and Worship Services at 11 AM. 
 
We promote social distancing and those attending wearing masks. If you do not have a mask, the church will provide one for you. We'd love to see you, especially during the season of Advent where the celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Can you believe the weekend is here? On one hand it seems like Sunday was a blink of an eye ago. On the other hand how did so much happen in just a few days? Do I hear an AMEN! 
 
As we prepare our hearts for Sunday, remember - we start Sunday School in person, at Antioch, at 10 AM this week. We will practice social distancing (please sit as family groups) and please wear a mask, if not for yourself, for the love & concern of others. We have the no-touch thermometer & hand sanitizer. 
 
The same health precautions will be used in the sanctuary. 
 
Adult Sunday School is meeting in the Sanctuary, & will begin a new series- an overview of Isaiah 
. 
Teens will meet in our normal room, same 'standards', and will pick up where we left off in "A Walk With Christ to the Cross". 
 
The sermon will be "The Revival Of Responsibility", Galatians 6. 
Responsibility & Accountability are words thrown around alot today, but not put into practice. We will examine the Biblical meaning and application this week. 
God is doing great things. Invite friends to come & join us. For those who have compromised immune systems, let them about our online options and the DVDs of the sermons. 
 
Don't forget September 20th is National Back to Church Sunday!
