On May 5th, 1969, fourteen believers signed the charter to establish First Baptist Church of Strongsville. They began meeting in the Old Town Hall and then in Surrarrer Elementary School. On June 11, 1969, they broke ground on Drake Road on land purchased from Homer Cartwright.
The building was completed on December 22, 1969 and the first worship service was enjoyed. On Sunday, June 14, 1970, the building was officially dedicated to the Lord for His work in Strongsville.
And God’s Work Continues!
