How Am I Doing In These Areas?
(grade yourself on a scale of 1-5)

Career____ Education____ Desires____ Goals____ God____ Family____ Marriage____ Relationships____ Other____

"God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us." Ephesians 3:20 (MSG)

"If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done." Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT)

What New Thing Should I Be Doing With My Life?

1. Decide What Really Matters.

Pursue "JOY"...

• Jesus
Jesus said: "`Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'" Matthew 22:37 (NIV)

• Others
"If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost.
You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and
always stand your ground in defending him." 1 Corinthians 13:7 (LB)

• Yourself
"For from the very beginning God decided that those who came to him...should become like his Son." Romans 8:29 (LB)

"As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him." 2 Corinthians 3:18 (LB)

2. Allow God To Stretch My Thinking.

"Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to." Ephesians 5:17 (LB)

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)

"In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:6 (NASB)

"It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago He planned that we should spend these lives in helping others." Ephesians 2:10 (LB)

3. Maintain Character Over Comfort.

"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received." Ephesians 4:1 (NIV)

"Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness." 1 Timothy 6:11b (NLT)

"When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)

"Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses. And I charge you before God, who gives life to all, and before Christ Jesus, who gave a good testimony before Pontius Pilate, that you obey this command without wavering. Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again." 1 Timothy 6:12-14 (NLT)
