Your Bible tells you that the 1 God is the God of the Lord mentioned in this verse. Paul is saying Christians have two things: 1 God and Father and 1 Lord Jesus the Christ. God rules all things through His Christ. In the same way, Israel had one God, Yahweh, and one Lord, David. 1 Corinthians 8:6 is the same idea. How Paul decisively identified the one God as ONE PERSON & how Trinitarian apologists try to avoid it. Trinitarian apologists absurdly try to spin this verse in an attempt to make it say the one Lord is equivalent to the one God, when in fact, the one God of this verse is the God OF this one Lord. The one Lord is not the one God but someone whose God is the one God of 1 Corinthians 8:6. We are expressly told in Scripture that the one God, the Father, is the God of this one Lord. 1 Cor 8:6; 11:3; Eph 1:17.

The one God in 1 Corinthians 8:6 is the God OF the one Lord in 1 Corinthians 8:6. The verse refers to (1) our God, and (2) our Lord. 1 + 1 = 2. For true believers there is one God, the Father, our one Lord's God, and there is also one Lord, Jesus Christ.

The God of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:17
