Why did God command to fight certain nations as in 1 Samuel 15 :3?

I'm going to explain to you God's judgment & Israel's role in the Old Testament. I know this is a very difficult and complex issue that raises a lot of questions in people.

Like why if God is love he allows this

And I hope after hearing this video that you will grow in understanding and why God did what He did in His Sovereignty. This subject therefore requires explanation from different angles and I will explain it as best I can.
Let's start at: 1 Samuel 15:2-3
2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. 3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”
What is this about?
Samuel came with a message from God (as Spiritual leader of Israel) that Saul as "military leader of Israel" had the Amalekites destroy everything they have. They had to be completely destroyed and nothing could be spared. So God was very clear: Saul had to pass total judgment on the Amalekites. Hundreds of years earlier in Exodus 17:14-16, the LORD had said He would pronounce such judgment on Amalek:
