What is number one on your bucket list?

This week we will be thinking about a topic that is still shrouded in mystery: the Second Coming of Christ. Paul’s advice to believers is to not focus on when Christ will return but what we should be doing as we wait.

WE WANT TO:
- Avoid speculating when Christ will return.
- Affirm our identity in Christ and our calling to be children of light.
- Adopt a righteous lifestyle.

1. How much do you think about Christ’s return? Do you tend to speculate on when Christ will return or focus on what Christ has called us to do? Why?

2. Most, if not all, people want peace and safety; however, does God preach/promise peace and safety? What is God’s view on peace and safety?

3. Have you known someone who modeled a life that affirms their identity in Christ and calling to be a child of light? Explain.

4. Does thinking about Christ’s return provoke you to live differently and/or reach the lost? Explain.

5. What are some practical ways you can apply this passage in your life this week?
