Scripture: Joshua 23 : 1 - 13

Intro: True meaning of Christmas
(1) Fulfillment of OT prophecy

(3) Everyday is Christmas

1. The Content - of the Lord your God Who fights for you
(1) With – God with me (Jos.1:5)
“No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.”
(2) Immanuel – God with us (v.1)
“A long time afterward, when the Lord had given rest to Israel from all their surrounding enemies, and Joshua was old and well advanced in years”
(3) Oneness – God with our ministry

2. The Witness - of the Lord your God Who fights for you (v.3)
(1) Witness of Jesus being the Christ (v.3)
“And you have seen all that the Lord your God has done to all these nations for your sake, for it is the Lord your God who has fought for you.”
(2) Witness of the kingdom of God (v.9)
“For the Lord has driven out before you great and strong nations.”
(3) Witness of the Filling of the Holy Spirit (v.10)
“One man of you puts to flight a thousand, since it is the Lord your God who fights for you, just as he promised you”

3. Our Response - to the Lord your God Who fights for you
(1) Follow the word of God (v.6)
“to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses”
(2) One heart, whole heart, and continuation (v.7)
“that you may not mix with these nations remaining among you or make mention of the names of their gods or swear by them or serve them or bow down to them”
