Forgiven Much, Loves Much (Lk 7:36-8:3)
1. The sinful woman’s response toward Jesus (36-38)
A. She brought an alabaster jar of perfume and stood
behind Jesus.
B. She wept and wet Jesus’ feet with her tears.
C. She wiped them with her hairs.
D. She kissed them and poured perfume on them.
2. Simon the Pharisee’s response toward Jesus (39, 44-46)
A. He criticized Jesus in his heart.
B. He did not give water to wash Jesus’ feet.
C. He did not give one kiss to Jesus.
D. He did not put oil upon Jesus’s head.
3. Jesus used a debt-forgiven story to teach Simon. (40-43)
A. Simon agreed.
