God tasked Elijah to anoint his replacement, the farmer Elisha. Elijah's first meeting with his replacement was a blunt, almost rude exchange. Why? Elijah needed to learn that God's plans for His people are a lot bigger than any one person. 7000 people, to be exact. There is a lesson for us as well.
