May 8, 2022 (Spring Quarter): Sunday School Lesson 10 - "Our Heavenly Dwelling" (II Corinthians 5:1-10). "This quarter we are going to take the opportunity to study the written correspondence between the church's greatest theologian and one of its most troubled congregations. There is no such thing as a perfect church, so there is always room for growth. Therefore, the lessons in this series will challenge you as you consider how Paul's rebukes and counsel to the Corinthian church could apply to your own church life." (Bible Expositor and Illuminator, Spring Quarter 2022, Looking Ahead, p. 2). In this tenth lesson we discuss that this life and these bodies are temporal and we must remember this when enduring the pains and struggles of this life. We will be blessed with glorified bodies at the resurrection. Know that we must remain connected to Jesus to stay refreshed, nourished, and purposeful in our lives. Jesus is the Way to God. No matter what you are going through, look to Jesus and God will bless you. Jesus cares for us and walks with us and prays for us as we journey through this life fulfilling the Great Commission. We must be patient and trust in the promises of God. We must trust God and not be overcome by our circumstances. We must be conscientious of the company we are surrounded by and those you allow in your inner circle. We must utilize our Spiritual Disciplines to strengthen our resolve in the times we are met with despair and our faith is challenged. We should stay prayerful in all we do and be thankful for God's grace and mercy. Hopefully we will gain an understanding that we must trust God and walk triumphantly and failure to align our lives with God's righteousness can be spiritually fatal. It is our endeavor that the study of these winter quarter lessons help nurture our minds and spirits and mature us to experience healthier living. Come journey with us as we delve into the Word together.
