June 5, 2022 (Summer Quarter): Sunday School Lesson 1 - "Samuel's Call and Ministry" (I Samuel 3:1-9, 19-20; 7:3-5, 10, 12). "This quarter we are going to discuss how faithful ministry, prophecy, and healing all contributed to the growth of the gospel message. Through these lessons, we can see that God can use any means, humble or dramatic, to display His glory. However, He almost always uses one particular tool--His people. Learn to serve Him faithfully today, and He will use you for His glory too." (Bible Expositor and Illuminator, Summer Quarter 2022, Looking Ahead, p. 2). In this first lesson we discuss being attuned to the voice of God. We must learn the voice of God and be receptive to not only being hearers but doers of His word. Remember, no matter what you are going through, look to Jesus and God will bless you. Jesus cares for us and walks with us and prays for us as we journey through this life fulfilling the Great Commission. We must be patient and trust in the promises of God. We must trust God and not be overcome by our circumstances. We must be conscientious of the company we are surrounded by and those you allow in your inner circle. We must utilize our Spiritual Disciplines to strengthen our resolve in the times we are met with despair and our faith is challenged. We should stay prayerful in all we do and be thankful for God's grace and mercy. Hopefully we will gain an understanding that we must trust God and walk triumphantly and failure to align our lives with God's righteousness can be spiritually fatal. It is our endeavor that the study of these winter quarter lessons help nurture our minds and spirits and mature us to experience healthier living. Come journey with us as we delve into the Word together.
