God’s desire is for every believer to speak boldly of his or her faith in Jesus Christ. Paul asked the Ephesian believers to pray that he might speak boldly, as he ought to speak (cf. Eph. 6:20). To speak boldly is to speak with freedom and confidence.
Peter and John exhibited boldness when they were arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin for preaching the resurrection of Jesus, with many coming to faith in Him because of their courage (Acts 4:1-5).
