Today on Hot Topics, Robert will talk about The Greatest Prophecy Ever through the book of Daniel.

In the book of Danial we find one of then most intriguing prophecies about the messiah. It give us a time frame that the messiah would show up in Jerusalem. Through out the old testament their Promises of the Coming Messiah called the Anointed one. Turns out in Daniel 9 we are given a passage that tell us when he would be here and what he was going to do. The Messiah Prophecy today on Hot Topics

In Daniel 9, Daniel is praying about The 70 years Prophecy. Explain the Prophecy

Daniel 9:24-27 “Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.




25 “Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.

Nehemiah 2 448BC Nisan
The decree is about the city and the walls
Joseph say it took total of 49 years

Starting in march 448 BC counting 483 years on the Babylonian calendar comes to the The early 30’s in the first century

Some people try to pinpoint it to the day, Palm Sunday - no reason to do that
It Just says the time of the messiah


How the Bible foretold When Jesus would come. Looking for good reasons to believe the Bible? They have been here all along. A thoughtful study of prophecy has convinced many skeptics to put their faith in Jesus. Daniel chapter 9 gives a detailed account of how to know when the Messiah was to show up, and Jesus came right on time. This is the famous "70 weeks" prophecy.
