We all have varying degrees of prejudice towards other people and it often prevents us from inviting and embracing others into our community. Up to this point in our study of the early church, the Jews did not really associate with Gentiles - at best they tolerated Gentiles. But that was not the vision and plan God had for His church! But to break down this barrier between Jew and Gentile without destroying the distinctive between them God needed to do something special. And oh, how we need God to do it again in each of us!
