Luke 12:13-34 Do not worry.


1. Why do you worry? ( ) because I am not ready for exam.
( ) because I do not have a job.
( ) because I do not have money to pay bills.
( ) because it is my habit.

2. Why didn’t Jesus help the man who requested Jesus to be an arbiter for the inheritance? 12:13,14
What was the root problem of the brothers? 12:15
What was the happy problem of the rich man in the parable? 12:16,17
What did he decide to solve his problem? 12:18,19
What danger is there for a rich man to fall into easily? 12:20,21

3. What danger is there for a poor man (the disciples) fall into easily? 12:22
What do they worry about? 12:22 What is more important?

4. How do the ravens keep on feeding even though they do not sow or reap? 12:24
Is your life more valuable than ravens? 12:24
Will God who feed ravens feed you, too?
=For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing
=Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them
And yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
How do the lilies clothe themselves even though they do not labor or spin? 12:27,28
=Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you,
even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these
How is the glory of the lilies when they are in full bloom?
=But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven,
how much more will he clothe you, o you of little faith
Is your life more valuable than lilies? Will God clothes you, too?
Do you believe in God’s provision for your life?
Does God know my need? 12:30
=yes

5. How much do ‘worries’ consume our energy?
=block to go to the kingdom of God
=worries bring the darkness to our deep heart
How much can ‘your worries’ accomplish? 12:25
=And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
=67 x 365 x 24 = 600,000 hours
Then why do you worry? 12:28c, 29
=How much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith

6. “Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.”
a. What command does Jesus give to those who worry? 12:29,31
=And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried
=For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them
=Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you
b. What is His kingdom?
c. What are the differences between seeking my necessity and seeking His kingdom?
=eternal kingdom vs temporary world
d. How much does God want to give His kingdom to us? 12:32
=Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom
e. What does it mean by “these things will be added to you”?
=what should come first to us in daily life. This will change our heart.
f. What are the results of worrying and the results of seeking His kingdom?
=more gray hair and poor health
=many metal issue
=treasure in heaven and inherit the kingdom of God.
=seeking His kingdom will bring promise

7. What is the difference between a genuine diamond and an artificial diamond?
=value vs no value
What are the differences between a treasure on earth and a treasure in heaven? 12:33,34
=which one is genuine and which one is artificial treasure?
=treasure on earth is not real
Where does a greedy person store his treasure?
=will disappear
Where does a worrying person store his treasure?
=nothing but worries
=going after wrong things
Where does a person who seeks His kingdom store his treasure? 12:33
=heaven
=how much treasure store in heaven?
=focus: do not worry and set our heart to the kingdom of heaven
