Mark 14:27-31

Zechariah 13:7- 9
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!” declares the Lord Almighty.
Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones.
I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold.
They will call on my name and I will answer them;
I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God’

6. What does 14:28 mean?
Jesus will regroup failed disciples.
This is Jesus recovery plan
Jesus’s victory plan-forgiveness. No bad feeling.

7. What must the disciples do then?
They must be humble. Pray not to deny Jesus.
Rely on Jesus with their weakness.

8. But what did Peter declare?
14:29
11 disciples – 10 many deny Jesus, but no Peter.

9. What does Peter think about himself?
Peter was faithful to Jesus even to death.
Peter had self-confidence and self-righteousness
People who have these don’t pray. Satan will play with them.

10. What does Jesus know about Peter and other disciples?
14:30, 14:50 Everyone deserted him and fled.

11. How did Peter influence other disciples?
14:31 Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.

12. What advice can you give to Peter and other disciples?
They don’t know their weakness.
They don’t know how sinful they are.
Ex) marriage bow.
When situation comes, people change their mind.
