There is an institutional dynamic to God’s plan for you. God’s will is that we might live in a society that is a manifestation of justice and brings security for those who dwell in it. Yet, He is clear that even in a context of seeking to do justice and to right societal wrongs, we should understand that there will be opposition. Weapons will be formed, but these weapons will ultimately fail. The weapons formed are too weak to prosper. But where is God when the weapons are formed? Has the evangelical church focused solely on a vertical relationship with God, ignoring horizontal relationships? Social action should not be confused with social justice.
