God wants us to have a first hand personal revelation of Jesus. Jesus declared to Peter that flesh and blood did not reveal to him who he was but it was received by revelation from the Father. God wants to give us our own personal testimony just like Paul did not receive the revelation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by men or was he taught by men but he received it by revelation. Your personal revelation will change you. Revelation carries the power of change.
