Do you like getting an invitation? Do you get excited when an invite to a wedding or a party comes through the letter box? I guess we have all had less invitations to events in the last twenty months.
Some invitations we get are really exciting, perhaps we have been waiting and hoping to get the invite; others we are not so excited about, if we are honest. Perhaps we feel obliged to go, to attend.
The Bible is full of invitations from the Lord God to his people. Invitations to come, to follow, to discover, to find out. We are going to spend this week thinking about some of these invitations in Scripture.
