1. Ask for the blood of Christ to cleanse you and prepare you (James 4:7-8; Eph 6:11-18).
2. Find friends to pray with you and fast with you (Matt 17:14-20).
3. Look the person in the eyes, speak to the demon firmly, and command it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ:
o To answer your questions truthfully.
o To not harm the person it’s indwelling or anyone else present.
o To state how many demons inhabit the person and if possible confront the chief demon.
o (Remember to speak in an authoritative voice based on Christ’s authority because demons will argue and resist strongly)
4. Cite Scripture that speak about the defeat of Satan (Matt 12:27-28; Luke 10:17-20; John 12:28-32; 2 Cor 10:3-5; Eph 6:10-18; Col 2:13-15; Heb 2:14-15; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:6-8; 1 John 3:8; 4:4; 5:18; Rev 12:11)
5. Sing Christian hymns that declare the defeat of Satan (“there Is a Fountain Filled with Blood,” “Nothing but the Blood od Jesus,” etc.).
6. Command in the name of the Lord Jesus that the demon leave the person and never return (Matt 17:14-20; Mark 9:14-29; Luke 9:37-43).
7. Ask the person to confess Jesus Christ as God that came in the flesh, defeated Satan on the Cross, and resurrected from the dead. Help the person place his or her faith in Jesus Christ and renounce everything that might have led to Satan and demonic influence.
