Thank you for joining me for our October 25th, 2020, Grace Covenant Church of Bremerton's live-streamed Sunday Worship Service, which was broadcast on our Facebook page this morning at 11:00 AM. Today, I took a second look at John chapter five, verses twenty-eight and twenty-nine, focusing on the Great White Throne Judgement in Revelation 20:11-15. We also looked at Jesus' strong words in Matthew 25:31-46 while keeping in view the wider context of Matthew, including Matthew 10:40-42 and Matthew 26:1-13. By interpreting the parable of the sheep and goats on the day of judgment through looking to other passages to define the players in the account, we see a radical turnabout in how the parable should be understood--within its context. Lastly, we look at Romans 2:1-13, wherein Paul upholds that those who keep the law will be the ones who are justified and given eternal life, only to read in Romans 3:9-19 that "there is no one righteous, not even one." Our only hope is in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and in His call to come and believe that He is the Messiah, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, and the Son of God, the One through whom all things were created, the One in whom all things hold together. Having been justified by faith, by belief, we now are in a perpetual state of having peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, In whom we now have our only standing in His grace. We are offered the ark of Jesus to safeguard against the coming fiery wrath. It is time to get in the ark of Jesus by believing in Him! Thank you for taking the time to watch and listen!
