Moses cautions the second generation against self-righteousness when they go in and possess the land. Three times he tells them it is NOT because of their righteousness that they will received the blessings from the Lord. It is a good reminder for us also of who we are, who God is, why God blesses us, and how He accomplishes this in our lives.
