Proverbs 23: 9
"Don't waste your breath on fools, for they will despise the wisest advice."

There are certain people who will never listen to good advice. To give them good advice is to waste your breath and your time because they will stubbornly refuse to take it.

Giving good advice to such people is called "casting your pearls before swine." Don't do it!

Instead, give your good advice to those who are humble and teachable. They will gladly receive it.
