We thank and glorify God almighty for leading our lowly and humble church throughout this year. By the amazing guidance of the Holy Spirit this month we are meditating, the title 'FEAR OF GOD'.

Todays meditation taken from Math 10:26-28 which says "Don't be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, rather be afraid of God, who can destroy both body and soul in hell"

For contextual understanding read Matthew 10:16-31
Jesus address his disciples teaching them Whom to fear and whom not to fear
The sentence 'Don't be afraid' appears 365 times in the bible. As a misunderstanding, presently, many people don't fear anything! There are things that we must not be afraid at the same time there are things that a child of God must fear.
There are 5 importamt things a child of God should fear for:
God through, the bible instructs us to:-
1)FEAR GOD - Matt 10:28
2)FEAR SALVATION -- Phil 12:21
3)FEAR ETERNAL REST -- Heb4:1
4)FEAR BACKSLIDING -- 2corin11:3
5)FEAR PRIDE -- Rom11:20

FEAR GOD not Man,
Until you fear man you will not be able to fear God completely. Math 10:28 clearly says Don't fear man -who can just kill our body not our soul. But we must fear God who can destroy both soul and body.

For reference let's Consider Simon Peter, disciple of Christ. He feared man, death, persecution, situations..etc.
The disciples were hiding inside the room in fear of loosing their lives, post Jesus' crucifixion. The fear about men departed from the apostles, once they witnessed the resurrected Christ and had faith in resurrection. That is the moment the fear of man from their flesh departed, and fear of God affirmed Acts 2:23 Peter now remembers all the words that Jesus foretold.Because, man could just kill the body, but can't touch our soul. Thats exactly Jesus proved after his death and resurrection.
That is the learning that they learnt after the resurrection of our Lord.

Peter, killed his own flesh and hence did not fear man who could kill only flesh. Acc to Acts 3:15 ,4:10 Peter spoke boldly before men, fearing God.
We will stop fearing man when we kill our own desires and flesh upon that cross, and carry the faith of resurrection.

Ref Gal2:20, Gal5:24; Rom 6:6, Rom11:
1pet 2:11, 5:8, 4:1-11.

If we have prefect faith in resurrection we will not fear man who can kill body not our soul, but rather we would fear God who has authority over body and our spirit.

PRAISE THE LORD!
MAY GOD BLESS YOU
