TITLE: “Finding Peace Angry Times”
Genesis 27:35-41
NOTES
INTRODUCTION- Every generation has stated that the times they lived in were unprecedented. Indeed they thought the times they lived in were more troubled and disturbing than any previous era.
POINT ONE- Scriptural Background
This is a familiar bible story. In those time God had given the fathers a special give to directly speak blessings on their children.
POINT TWO- Jacob Stole Esau’s birthright and blessing
POINT THREE- Isaac Blesses Esau but it is nowhere near Jacob’s blessing.
POINT FOUR- Esau’s Anger and Hatred Toward his brother
POINT FIVE- Sometime anger is justified but the important thing is what we do with that anger.
POINT SIX- Although we are being mistreated as a race that is not justification to be prejudice, bitter and hateful.
CONCLUSION
POINT SEVEN- Christ was hated, mistreated but he still loved and was not bitter. No Christ did not retaliate or lash out. He did not use his powers to destroy humanity. He was hung up for my hang ups. He did not retaliate. In fact, “He never said a mumbling word for me.”
