Song: Fire and water

(Psalm 66:12,19-20)
“…we went through fire and through water: but Thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place…But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.”

In all of life’s troubles and stresses, we know that our Heavenly Father is with us and His presence comforts and guides us in the way.

Trials in life are meant to strengthen us in the Lord and to teach us to depend on Him; through trials, we see how God delivers us faithfully time and time again, and we get to experience God which we never would have if life was all pink and rosy. We see God’s power, His mercy and goodness towards us and every deliverance allows us to praise Him.

As God has comforted us in our tribulations, let us also comfort others (2Corinthians 1:4). Tell them how God has mercifully answered our prayers, how He has been our refuge and a very present help in trouble (Psalm46).
