First Will Be Last, Matthew 19:16-20:16
Jesus challenges a rich young man to reconsider how his goodness and self-worth are defined and acquired. The man was satisfied with his righteous acts. But Jesus tells him that is not enough. The parable of a landowner’s generosity to the unworthy is analogous to God’s unmerited grace.
